   Baker Debunking and Awards Presentation

Joey Santore by way of ZOOM PRESENTED at our regular meeting of June 15th about who Charity: Water is, what we do and why we do it, how we work to solve the water crisis, and how people can get involved and help us get more people access to clean water every year! If you needed a few word boilerplate topic it could be "How charity: water is solving the world's water crisis.

Matt Mahan PRESENTED on The State of the San Jose Budget at our regular meeting of June 1st. Matt is the 66th Mayor of San José. He formerly served as a teacher through Teach for America, before entering the business world where he founded and grew companies dedicated to empowering neighborhoods and holding our government accountable. These core tenets remain key to his policy priorities as he pledges to focus City Hall on the basic quality of life issues that impact us every single day.

Chip Huggins PRESENTED on: Hope Services Providing Resources and Employment Opportunities to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at our regular meeting of May 4th.

Jefferey Lee spoke at our regular meeting on April 13th about Friends Of Children With Special Needs (FCSN). Jefferey at FCSN helps individuals with special needs, developing classes and working on their goals and promoting healthy living, while continuing with my own PT business.

  Alice Turner and Neeraj Gupta SPOKE on the Vista Center for The Blind at our regular meeting on 4/6/23. Alice Turner serves as Director of Community and Corporate Relations at Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, headquartered in Palo Alto, CA. and Neeraj Gupta serves as the Community Relations Manager.

 Santa Clara County DA JEFF ROSEN presented at our regular meeting on March 30th. He is a nationally recognized leader in criminal justice reform. His changes to one of the largest prosecutorial offices in the country include: reducing the jail population, diversion programs for non-violent offenders, expungements for low level drug crimes, prison reform, and promoting the highest ethical prosecution standards. This, all while keeping crime at its lowest rate in decades, by vigorously and successfully prosecuting murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, domestic violence abusers, child molesters, corporate polluters, and those who commit fraud against the elderly.

 Julie DeMaria spoke on Operation Care and Comfort at our regular meeting on 2/23/23
Julie DeMaria is a co-founder of Operation: Care and Comfort (OCC.) Founded in her San Jose garage in 2003, Julie is proud that OCC provides fantastic support to troops serving overseas, and to troops, veterans and their families here at home. Julie's vision was to invite the public to support those who serve our country, with emphasis on giving children ages 5 and up the opportunity to volunteer with their family.

  Brad Boardman SPOKE on the Morgan Autism Center at our regular meeting on 2/9/23
Brad's career path was re-routed in 1995 when a friend asked him to be a substitute teacher at Morgan Autism Center. Once he discovered the close community, the wonderful personalities of the students and clients, and the friendly staff at Morgan Autism Center, it became clear that he needed to go back to school (again) for a special education credential.

A huge thank you to Ammal for spear heading a booth at the Almaden Lake 4th of July celebration. The Rotary Booth was a GREAT success. We talked to at least 300 families and collected over 150 names and emails from community members eager to learn about the PlayGarden. We distributed flyers and information and all the giveaways had the QR code for the Playgarden website
