Outgoing President Ed Lacina was shown the door hopefully in a light manner. Ed was taken out of the room and returned dressed in his afghan outfit and sat down. Bob Seymour was the master of ceremonies and he shows off his new teeth work from Ed's dentist. Bob is an example of the debunking theme. The theme is Ed's frugalness. Bob introduces the game "Are you a cheapskate?" and the three contestants: Mr Big Bucks (Jim Guido), Mr. Frugal (Gregg), and Mr. Cheapskate (Jeff)
He made board members fix their own food
He convinced the Endowment Board that putting wall to wall carpet in a Shelter Box was a requirement
That instead of buying batteries for the microphone, he did it the old fashioned way
Ed saved the club money by crushing his own wine
When he gets his food at the meeting, he gets extra so he can take home a doggie bag
Instead of having his suits made in Italy, he has them made in Afghanistan
He agreed to host a Youth Exchange Student because he thought he was going to be able to claim him as a dependent
But in all seriousness, we'd really like to thank Ed for all his hard work and for making it a great year
The plaque is presented to Ed and flowers presented to Diane
